Fall is here and the fishing is a changin’ for the best.
Crappies are starting to gather on deep muddy basins in large schools. They are being found in 20-30 ft of water. Use an 1/8 oz. jig tipped with a fathead minnow to land these brutes.
Walleyes are being caught of steep breaks with a deeper weed line in the 18-25 ft range. Lindy Rigs tipped with a small sucker minnow slowly trolled along the weed line will put walleyes (and bonus bass) in the boat.
Large Northern Pike are showing up on the shallow weed flats as the water cools. Trolling large spinner baits over the tops of the weeds in the 6-1- ft range will catch these fighters!
