These working committees comprise the Chamber’s current Program of Work. There are numerous opportunities for members to get involved and although participation in these committees is strictly voluntary, Chamber members are encouraged to get involved in areas of interest that accomplish the Chamber’s goals. Please feel free to contact the Chamber if you wish to participate on any particular committee or activity.

The Chamber Board of Directors, including the Executive Committee, works closely with Chamber staff and committed members to lead the organization in a manner consistent with our Mission & Vision.

The taskforce has been established to revamp the brand of the Chamber in order to better position our organization and our members for future prosperity and success.
Membership Committee
The priorities of the Membership Committee include, but are not limited to: increasing and retaining membership in the Chamber through the offering of programs, services and networking opportunities; developing strategies to generate new membership; reviewing any application forms and any literature dealing with new membership; calling on new businesses that have moved into the region to offer assistance and welcome; and strengthening connections within the existing membership and work to involve them in advancing the initiatives of the Chamber.

Ambassador Committee
The Ambassador Committee is a prestigious group of committed members performing a critical public relations role for the Chamber. This committee focuses on creating relationships between Chamber members and assisting the Chamber in furthering its Mission. Members of this committee participate in monthly luncheons, visits, ribbon cuttings, and keep in contact with Chamber members as well as help out with events.
Tourism Marketing Committee
As the official regional destination marketing organization for the area, the Chamber works extensively with our Hospitality members to aggressively and effectively market the entire Park Rapids Lakes Area to visitors regionally as well as throughout the state and across the country.

Minnesota Bike Opener –
Implement the annual Celebration of All Things Bike each spring.
4th of July
Execution of the 4th of July Parade as well as marketing the entire day of celebration.
Legends & Logging Days –
Coordinates the details for Park Rapids’ signature festival: Legends & Logging Days occurring each year in August. The event includes a lumberjack show, Master Carver chainsaw sculpture & auction, archery competition, historical encampment, and more!
Tree Lighting & Yuletide Sampler
Each year the Friday following Thanksgiving, hundreds gather on the wide streets of Main to sing carols and light the Community Christmas Tree. Area merchants sample goodies in their stores and give shoppers an opportunity to see what’s available for Holiday gift buying.
