Wow, winter is here…almost
Fall fishing is at its finest on the Park Rapids Lakes Area. Walleyes can be found shallow at night by trolling crankbaits in 6-10 ft. of water.
A flashy Pearl #7 Berkley Flicker Minnow is a very productive walleye catching bait.
Focus on shallow feeding shelves just outside in-flowing rivers/creeks or culverts. Current areas are key!
If you are into catching a bunch of nice sized northern pike which are lurking amongst the “still green” shallow weed flats along shoreline breaks than dig out the rattle baits like the Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap in a gold chrome pattern and cast and retrieve or troll the bait around the depth ranges of 6-12 ft. of water. And be ready for some bonus bass to smack the bait as well.
Crappies are hanging on deep mud basins in the 20-30 ft. range. A jig and a minnow combination slowly dragged on or just above the bottom will put fish in the boat.
Lotsa Fish! Lotsa Fun!
