The walleye fishing is hot right now throughout the Park Rapids area—especially for the big fish!
They can be caught in the 15-20 ft. range using a variety of bait with a lively minnow like a red tail chub being the best. Put the minnow on a 1/8-3/16 oz. orange or green jig and slowly drag it along the bottom. Early morning or late afternoon hae been the best times to catch them. Northern pike in the 20-30” range are hitting spinner baits or spoons trolled over the tops of the weed beds found on shoreline related flats in the 6-12 ft. range. The best colors have been florescent orange, chartreuse, or solid chrome. Troll about 1.5 mph throughout the day light hours. Lotsa Fish! Lotsa Fun! Minnesota Fishing Guide Service 218-732-9919,
