Fishing in the park rapids region is really heating up
The majority of the largemouth bass and smallmouth bass are in the shallows Responding so they are very easy to catch on a jig and plastic tail combos. Concentrate on Shoreline areas up to 5 feet deep.
Use a small jig head tipped with a 3 inch long black twister tail to simulate a leech.
Please practice catch and release while they are spawning.
Try the newly growing weed lines for walleyes in northern pike.
Concentrate on the 10 to 15 foot depth range using live bait rigs tipped with a Leech or a minnow on a red hook.
Trolling spoons Or spinner baits over the tops of shallow Weed flats will also produce pike look in the 6 to 10 foot depth Range.
