Cold temps are bringing the big fish shallow—especially the pike and muskies.
Troll sucker decoys rigged on a quick strike rig just off the break line about 7-10 down and hang on. Look for walleyes all over the board—weed lines, deep main lake holes (40-70ft) they will be on the bottom in either way. Slowly troll a live bait rig tipped with a rainbow chub (awesome minnows).
Crappies can be found on muddy lake basin flats in the 20-30 ft range. Tip an 1/8oz. jig with a crappie minnow and drag and lift slowly allowing the fish to “slurp” it in.
