From Skinny Ski: This is some of the best groomed trails we have skied! What a gem of a ski area. First time visit looking to do some skate skiing as we were passing through. MN ski pass required. Temps in the upper teens with a slight NW wind. Freshly groomed with outstanding corduroy. They could use some more snow to hide some twigs sticking up in spots but not necessary. Groomer must be a skier because the trail was perfectly scratched for a flat fast incredibly fun skate deck but also groomed for classic on the right. Very wide trails with the majority being 12-18 feet. Parking area with clear map of trails, warming house and out house on site. Very well used and maintained ski area with an open house every Sunday afternoon. From warming house we skied out staying to the right to do the full course. Easy to understand signs at all junctions. On return to the warming house went a second round but stayed to the inside to do the Troll Trail. Very great ski worth the drive as a destination. Thank you for such a great ski experience!

Groomers did not go out this week but riding has not changed since the weather has been colder. Forest trails are still good and the club ride last weekend started in Two Inlets heading north to Backwoods, Laporte, Walker and returned on the Heartland Trail. County Highway 4 was icy and Trail #32 (Coon Lake Trail) was icy due to logging. Besides those two areas it was a great ride. Ride safe!
