Mid June is definitely a peak period for fishing in the Park Rapids area. Walleye fishing has been excellent with fish most active in 15-18 ft. Nightcrawlers and leeches have been best.
Northern pike have been quite active in those same depths as new weed growth emerges. Big fish have definitely been active.
Bass are moving out to mid depth areas, though there will always be some fish in shallow water.
Muskie anglers are reporting good activity around new weed growth and suspended in open water areas.
Crappie and sunfish have been in 8-14 feet with both species finished in the spawning process.
