Fishing Report 7-14-22

Fishing in the Park Rapids area has recently been some of the best of the season!

Walleye have been biting well and although water temperatures are warming, the best activity has been near mid depth (12-15ft) vegetation. Hover a leech just over the weeds with a slip bobber and hold on! Panfish activity has been very good, with many fish along the submerged weed edges in 10-16 feet, though some lakes currently have panfish suspended 6 feet down in 20 feet of water. Bass anglers have been very happy and although we’re at the mid-summer point, those large females are finally becoming more active after a late spawn this season. Pike and muskie anglers are reporting some nice catches! Northern pike have been found in the 18-24ft range, whereas the smaller northerns seem to be everywhere.
