Ice conditions in the Park Rapids area vary greatly,
so anglers should proceed with great caution.
The larger, deep lakes such as Long, Big Sand, Fish Hook, etc., are finally capping over, but even small sections of open water can expand with wind and warmer temps. Small lakes are experiencing angler foot traffic, but with the added weight of several inches of snow last weekend, anglers should expect to encounter slush and flooding in areas.
