As the small shallow lakes freeze I’m leaning towards the big lakes in the Boat
Ice under 5” is not a good idea. If your in a Boat concentrate on early ice locations and presentations. Just don’t tell the fish you are in a Boat. Lol.
Fish the weed lines for walleyes and suspended panfish. The weed flats for pike. Live bait rigs with chubs will get it done. Slip bobbers with wax worms or crappie Minnows for the pan Fish.
Trolling shallow cranks at night will still produce walleyes. Troll tullibee colored baits for trophy pike or muskies.
