Crappies are gathering in the deeper holes and can be caught throughout the day because they are in the deep dark water. Look for them suspended with your electronics. Most of the time they are between 5-15 ft off of the bottom in 30 ft or more of water. However, I am still finding Crappies in the weed beds much shallower along with the Bluegills. Look for weeds in the 6-10 ft range. Northern Pike action continues to be strong using tip-ups and sucker minnows in the 6-10 ft depth range near and in weeds. Walleyes are being found in a variety of areas which makes them easy to catch. Weed lines, deep water points, humps, and mud flats are all holding fish. Try a gold/black jigging spoon tipped with a small minnow head for success. Lotsa Fish! Lotsa Fun!
Have fun out there –Captain Josh Hagemeister
