Even with a cold snap the fishing in the Park Rapids area has been consistent especially the crappies and northern pike.
We are still catching them fairly shallow the pike are in around 10 feet of water the crappies 15 to 20 feet in some cases.
Small silver jigging spoons tipped with a wax worm have been catching a lot of nice crappies and bluegills throughout the day.
The pike can be caught using a lively Sucker minnow suspended 18 inches off of the bottom using a tip up.
While eyes are being caught in the midnight hours in the 18 to 35 foot range with fat heads or shiners.
