USXC is in the woods this year.
1/17/2019 – We continue to groom as the snow is getting thin but manageable. We have a full week of grooming this week and will be ready for the weekend. We could really use a snow to get things freshened up and in great shape.
I am happy to say that the USXC Race is still a go for this weekend so get out and watch if you get a chance. Having this in mind some of the area trails will be closed on Saturday and Sunday. We anticipate that the trails will be closed from about 9-1pm both days. The trails will be clearly marked during the race as to which trails will be closed. We will be grooming right behind the last riders to get the trails back in shape.
Forest Riders Snowmobile Club – Park Rapids Area
1/17/2019 – The groomers were out on Monday, January 16. The following trails were groomed:
Itasca Park & Trail #11 from the Park to Two Inlets;
Majority of the trails near Emmaville (except Alligator Alley);
Hwy 71 to Lake George;
Two Inlets to Osage.
Trail #33 from Hwy 113 south has been plowed for logging.
USXC Heartland 200 Race: Prior to the race, the groomer will be out on Friday on Trail #24 and Trail #31 (County 4). These trails will be groomed again after the race.
Thanks to the groomers, snowmobilers are reporting great trails! Unfortunately, there is no snow in the forecast and below zero temperatures for this weekend. Be safe!!

1/15/2019 – Good trail conditions, fast and very firm skate lane. It’s not icy like it was last weekend, but hills are still challenging. Lilly’s loop beginner run is fine.
