Snow and good fishing can be found throughout the Park Rapids area.
The Walleyes are in the spotlight this week. The best fishing has been before noon or between 2 pm and dark—especially on the lakes with a little tinge to the water. The best depths have been 11-25ft. On the clearest lakes in the area there is also a god daytime bite in the 25-40 ft range.
Jigging spoons like the JB weasel tipped with a small minnow head will produce fish. Glow/gold color combinations have been working great along with the jigging spoons, a simple bobber/hook/shiner minnow combo will catch the less aggressive fish. I prefer a green #4 hook.
