- It’s a great time for crappies!
We have been hammering the crappies throughout the Park Rapids area with a ton of really nice fish being released for others to enjoy, keeping the healthy fish population this area is known for!
Shallow weed beds in the 6 -13 ft depth for a good daytime bite and suspended over the deeper holes while it’s dark outside. Put the fish topside with small glow ants tipped with a crappie minnow.
Look to any decent weed line for a few bonus Walleyes and Pike as well using JB Lures weasel spoons tipped with a minnow head.
All of this fishing action is close to town which is perfect for a weekend stay in the Park Rapids Area. Mix in a few schools of big sunfish and you’ve got your hands full. Just about all of the area lakes are “hot” right now!
