Ice fishing is off to a full start in the Park Rapids area! Walleyes, Crappies, Northern Pike even some big Bass are being cut through the ice in the 5 to 12 foot depth range around weed beds. Tip ups with minnows or jigging spoons on a stout jogging rod have been working well. Look for a good twilight crappie by 45 minutes before sunset well into dark with the fish being suspended anywhere from 3 to 5 feet off of the bottom. Glow Jigs and Crappie minnows are a good bet. Look for the walleyes in the 15 to 20 foot depth range using A jogging Rapala tipped with a small Minnow head. Be safe and have fun out there. Lots of fish and lots of fun.
