Hello everybody, Captain Josh from Minnesota Fishing Guide Service, with the Park Rapids Fishing report. This last week brought us a bunch of mixed bag catches meaning as we were fishing we were catching walleyes, crappies, pike, bass, and some monster bluegills. Many of the fish have set up on the deep weed line in a lot of the area lakes and are easy to catch using just about any live bait system. We have been using jigs and leeches and jigs and nightcrawlers or a spinner growler combination most of the time. The depth window is between 13 and 20 feet. Colors include gold orange and chartreuse. Fishing for walleye is in the deep water around 30 to 40 feet blue and white and silver have been the most productive colors. Quite a few big bass have been pulled out of the shallow water using weedless surface Baird like a scum frog fish around lily pads. Lotsa fish, lotsa fun.
