Wanted: Your Summer Pictures

100 Years of Summer Photo contest

The Park Rapids Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism turns 100 this year and we’re celebrating all summer long.  Since 1918, the Chamber has worked with members to bring business and tourism to our area so we’re having a picture contest to look back at 100 Years of Summer.  Together we’ll make a digital album of vacation pictures showing off all the fun we’ve had over the years.

Dust off those photo albums, look through your scrapbooks! One of your pictures could be worth $250

There are two contests you can enter; Fun in the Sun and Then & Now.

  • Fun in the Sun pictures should show off summer in the area from 1918 to today. First prize wins $250 Chamber Bucks to spend like cash at any Chamber Member business. Second and third place get $100 and $50 in Chamber Bucks. Fun in the Sun entries will be judged by Steve Heriot from Heriot Creative.
  • Then & Now photos will be put in a drawing for a gift basket filled with goodies from member businesses. Any photos may be used on social media or be chosen to be in the 2019 Discovery Guide. The submission deadline for both contests is July 13th.

Email contest entries with notes on when and where they were taken to 100YearsofSummer@parkrapids.com. Unable to scan and upload a picture? Stop by the Visitor’s Information Center and tell us all about your summers while we scan your photo and get you entered in the contest.

Pictures are already rolling in, but no sneak peeks yet!  Contest entries will start popping up May 27th  – September 3rd on the Park Rapids Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Facebook page and other places too!  <—Hint hint, this blog.

Winners will be announced at our Annual Meeting September 25th, you don’t need to be present to win.

Please submit photos at the links below.  You can submit to both.
