Minnesota Fishing Guide Service’s Report – 04.11.18

ice fishing crappie bluegill guyWow, if you can get through the snow to the fish, you will catch them.

The fish are where they should be. Some are in ultra-shallow water 3-5ft where you can sight fish them down the hole, others are hanging on break lines waiting to head to the shallows to feed.

Mid-day fishing has been the most consistent probably due to the low light levels caused by the thick ice and snow.  The biological clocks of the fish are tied to the sun/ light levels. So no matter how “late” Spring is, the fish will be on time—so keep that in mind.
