Minnesota Fishing Guide Service’s Report – 9.13.17

crappie young boy fall 2Fall Crappie fishing has kicked in throughout the Park Rapids area.  Concentrate on the deeper muddy bottoms in the 19-25 ft range.  Use an 1/8 oz jig tipped with a crappie minnow and keep a close eye on your electronics so you know how high off the bottom to keep the jig.  Northern Pike can also be found chasing these crappies, Use a big sucker minnow on a live bait rig not far from the schooled crappies.  Look for the walleyes to be schooling near deep water on steep drop-offs with shallow weeds near by.  Just about any presentation will produce fish, but my favorite is a jigging Rapala.  Lotsa Fish and Lotsa Fish-  Captain Josh, Minnesota Fishing Guide Service, 218-732-9919,  www.minnesotaguideservice.com
