Minnesota Fishing Guide Service’s Report – 10.12.16

Fall fishing in the Park Rapids area remains strong. The fishing ranges from highly active crappies and or schools of walleyes and larger northern pike are now showing up in the catches. The best depth for Crappies have been between 20 and 30 feet deep the best Depth for the larger pike has been 25 feet deep. Walleyes are being caught all over the board ranging from 12 feet down to 50 feet deep using jigs and Redtail minnows or chubs have been working well for the walleyes. Large Sucker Minnows on a live bait rig have been catching the larger northern pike as well. Small jigs tipped with a white twister tail gulp grub have been catching Crappies on a very consistent basis. Largemouth bass can be found in schools in deep weed line situations and are very active as well use a Stanley jig or a large black plastic worm for the bass. Good luck out there Captain Josh Minnesota Fishing Guide Service 218-732-9919. www.minnesotaguideservice.com
