Minnesota Fishing Guide Report – 8/16/16

IMG_0162-8.16.16Walleyes are starting to act like fall fish. The fall equinox is triggering heavy schooling if walleyes in the 25-40-foot range. Look for steep breaks near deep mid lake holes. Maintain summer presentations including crawlers and Minnows on jigs and live bait rigs. Crappies are still on weed lines but will be moving out to deeper mud flats soon.  Small jigs and crappie minnows are the best. Area Muskie action is heating up fast with multiple hook ups using fast moving suspended bucktails over the deep water near cabbage beds. Capt. Josh, minnesotaguideservice.com 218-732-9919
